With the number of womens perfumes and colognes on the market continuously increasing, it is often hard to decide on which scents are long lasting, high quality and offer the best sillage (a technical term for how strong of a trail the perfume leaves behind). This fact was the basis behind our new collection which offers womens perfumes across the whole spectrum of scents from complex, elegant and explosive to fruity, sweet and gentle; there’s a perfume for every woman.
What makes our womens perfumes special?
In simple terms, it comes down to the quality of the fragrance. Our perfumes are oil-based and alcohol free which in turns makes them longer-lasting and less harsh on the skin while retaining the strength of the scents. Many womens designer and drugstore perfumes are alcohol-based which have the complete opposite effect. You might be asking why aren’t all perfumes oil-based then? Well, it comes down to the following reasons.
The Science behind our Scents
Firstly, many drugstores and even high end brands use alcohol within the perfumes as a solvent to dilute the fragrant mixture as water and aromatic oils do not mix. The second reason is to increase the shelf life of these perfumes which is important for mass production. The final and most important reason is the viscosity and high rate of evaporation of perfumes which causes the fragrance to smell extremely strong and fragrant.. for a couple of minutes. It gives the illusion of a stronger fragrance as the alcohol evaporates quickly but then fades away often into an unnoticeable scent within minutes.
