The significance of perfumery in the Middle East has always outshined the rest with their unique and strong authentic Arabian perfumes and scents dating back over hundreds of years in the form of attar. Our collection aims to bring these opulent scents to the market with a variety of traditional Arabian aromas to add to your collection.
What makes Arabian perfumes so special?
It comes down to the follow key factors. Firstly, unlike most of the perfumes you are familiar with, Arabian perfumes are usually oil-based rather than alcohol based. Although this has many benefits in terms of being less harsh and offering greater variety, the main reason this was done was due to the hot environment in the Arabian countries. This rendered the use of alcohol-based perfumes useless as their high rates of evaporation would only be amplified meaning the perfumes would fade away in minutes.
The traditional Arabian Scents
Although the Arabian perfumes offer a great variety in terms of notes, strength and sillage, there are a few key notes that are present in some form or another. These often include a woody base note usually in the form of sandalwood, amber notes for warmth, musk notes for more animalistic fragrances or even jasmine for a more floral scent.
