What do oud and woody attars smell like?
Oud notes are at the heart of this family. Oud itself is a rare, resinous wood from the agarwood tree; our attars don't contain it, but capture its scent profile in their notes, which can smell smoky, leathery, sweet or faintly animalic depending on how they are blended. Around it sit creamy sandalwood, clean and pencil-dry cedar, and earthy, slightly smoky vetiver. Some blends keep the oud notes smooth and polished, almost creamy; others let a wilder edge show for the first few minutes before it settles into warm, dry wood.
Reach for these on cooler days and evenings, or whenever you want a scent with depth and quiet confidence; the smoother, creamier woods work just as well at the office.
